SpiceJet, winner of 2008 Frost & Sullivan Indian Commercial Aviation Emerging Company of the Year, brings home the coveted BDM cup by beating TERI by 6 wickets in an exciting corporate cricket tournament.

At the thrilling finals of the 5th BDM cup, played on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at TERI Oval, Gurgaon, SpiceJet stuns the home team and takes the trophy remaining unbeaten in the tournament. Capt. Kapil Mehta, of SpiceJet was the highest scorer for the winning team with 58 runs to his kitty. He was also awarded the Man of the Match and Man of the Series titles for his sterling performance.

Coming in to bat first, TERI were all out with a score of 152 in 29.3 overs. Mahesh was the highest scorer for TERI who sco#B50229 33 runs. For SpiceJet, Captain Kapil Mehta took 3 wickets for 19 and Abhijeet Jamwal 2 wickets for 9. SpiceJet, unbeaten in the season, won the match by 6 wickets with 3 over to spare. Kapil Mehta was the highest scorer for SpiceJet with 58 runs. Abhijeet and Jagpreet contributed with 32 and 26 runs respectively.

SpiceJet also won the BDM Super Sixes tournament finals beating FIS by 13 runs, which was held later in the day.
