SpiceJet commences new flights from Mumbai
- Connects Bangalore & Hyderabad with daily flights
Mumbai, 17th January 2007: SpiceJet, the fastest growing low – fare airline in the country proudly announces the introduction of its two new additional daily flights on the Bangalore – Mumbai – Hyderabad routes.

With the induction of its new Boeing 737 – 800 aircraft, SpiceJet will commence operations on these routes from February 4, 2007 onwards. The introduction of these additional new flights has been made in order to improve the connectivity from Mumbai.
Announcing the new routes, Mr. Siddhanta Sharma, CEO – SpiceJet Ltd., said “Mumbai, being the business hub, has always been a profitable destination when connected to other cities. We are receiving tremendous response from our passengers on the existing Bangalore – Mumbai – Hyderabad routes and therefore we have decided to introduce additional direct flights on these routes with the induction of our new aircraft.”
“From Mumbai, SpiceJet has 13 flight departures and from next month it would 15 flight departures every day. Till July this year we plan to double our departures from Mumbai,” he added.
With an overall market share of 9%, SpiceJet remains an undisputed leader in load factor among all the domestic airlines. Even in the existing foggy conditions, SpiceJet achieved one of the highest load factors of 88 percent in December 2006. It also holds a record for highest load factor achieved by any airline based in India, with all time high 95.4 percent passenger load factor achieved on April 18, 2006.
