SPICEJET REPORTS AN OVERWHELMING SUCCESS
- Flies 12,667 passengers with 10 aircraft on a single day
- Crosses load factor of 93 percent
New Delhi, 27th December 2006: December 22, 2006 has been commemorated as a historic day in the Indian aviation industry as the fastest growing low-frill airlines SpiceJet has flown 12,667 passengers to their destinations on a single day. The airline has achieved this significant feet with only 10 new generation Boeing 737 – 800 aircraft in its operations. SpiceJet has also recorded booking of over 2.5 million passenger in just 18 months of its operations.
Even in the existing foggy condition, SpiceJet has achieved one of the highest load factors of 93 percent on December 22, 2006, and remains undisputed leader in load factor among all the domestic airlines. With daily flights scheduled for over 70 destinations, the airline operates in 14 cities backed by cutting edge technology and infrastructure to ensure the highest standards in operating efficiency. SpiceJet also holds a record for highest load factor achieved by any airlines based in India, with all time high 95.4 percent passenger load factor achieved on April 18, 2006.
