SpiceJet Launches new flights from Kolkata and Guwahati
Announces Hot Special Fare of Rs. 699/-
New Delhi, October 4, 2006: SpiceJet, India’s favourite airline, today announced the launch of new flights from Kolkata and Guwahati. Effective from 8th October 2006, a daily morning flight has been introduced between Kolkata and Guwahati. A daily morning flight has also been introduced between Guwahati and Delhi. The return flights from Delhi to Guwahati and Guwahati to Kolkata have been scheduled for the evening.

Making this announcement,Mr. Ajay Singh, Director SpiceJet, said, “These flights will enable our customers to leave Kolkata in the morning, complete their work in Guwahati and return to their homes in the evening. Similarly, Guwahati customers can reach Delhi in the morning and return to Guwahati in the evening. SpiceJet is the only airline to provide such convenient timings. We believe these new flights will prove to be very popular.”
These additional flights have been made possible through the induction of a brand new Boeing 737-800 new-generation aircraft. With the induction of this new aircraft, SpiceJet’s passenger seat capacity has been increased to 9639 seats a day, and an effective increase in average daily flights from 45 to 52 flights.
Commenting on the seventh aircraft induction, Mr. Singh, said, “The inclusion of the latest Boeing 737 – 800 is in line with our initial commitment of procuring 20 new generation aircrafts. Our plan of expanding SpiceJet’s network is on track and we will continue to add new cities to our route network as our fleet grows”.
On this new route, SpiceJet has also introduced Hot Special launch fare of Rs. 699/- available for travel till the end of December 2006, subject to the seat availability. These Hot Special fares are already available through SpiceJet’s website www.spicejet.com. or the call center at 1800 180 3333/ 0987 -180-3333.
On October 7th 2006 SpiceJet will also start its daily service on Delhi – Varanasi – Delhi sector.
