SpiceJet Consolidates and Expands its Network

Daily Flights from Delhi to Varanasi, Guwahati (Via Kolkata) and twice to Goa.

New Delhi, July 31, 2006: With induction of two new new-generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its fleet of six, SpiceJet today announced consolidation and expansion plan of its existing network. SpiceJet will launch five new sectors (Delhi-Varanasi-Delhi, Ahmedabad–Goa–Ahmedabad via Mumbai, Ahmedabad–Chennai–Ahmedabad and Kolkata–Guwahati-Kolkata, Hyderabad-Bangalore-Hyderabad) and additional flights on its existing routes of Delhi – Goa – Delhi, Delhi – Guwahati – Delhi, Mumbai – Goa – Mumbai, Ahmedabad – Mumbai – Ahmedabad routes.

Announcing the expansion plan, Mr. Siddhanta Sharma, CEO SpiceJet said, “SpiceJet aims to make traveling more accessible and affordable for the majority of the travelers. The new routes will help them enjoy SpiceJet class, at low-cost on many more new destinations.” The low-cost airlines have created a new market for people who would never have flown because of high price and can now take the aerial route.” he further added.

All the new sectors and additional flights will start with the Hot Special Fares, available for booking with effect from today, 31st July, 2006 and will be sold through SpiceJet’s website www.spicejet.com.

From 7th of October 2006, SpiceJet will fly Delhi to Guwahati via Kolkata daily at 03:00 PM. And will also fly daily to Guwahati from Kolkata in the morning 06:20 AM and Guwahati to Delhi at 08:05 AM.

From 8th October 2006, SpiceJet will inaugurate its daily flight to holy city of Varanasi from Delhi at 11:15 AM, reaching Varanasi at 12:30 and will start from Varanasi at 01:00 PM and will reach Delhi by 02:45 PM.

A surprise bonanza for people of Ahmedabad awaits on 18th October 2006, when SpiceJet will commence its daily flight to Chennai and Goa, from Ahmedabad. The Ahmedabad Goa flight will route via Mumbai at 11:15 AM.
