SPICEJET AND GALILEO SIGN AGREEMENT FOR EXCLUSIVE ACCESS TO LOW FARES

Galileo to offer expansive distribution for SpiceJet via Galileo Flight Integrator

New Delhi, 6 July 2006: SpiceJet, India’s fastest growing low cost airline, and Galileo International, the leading travel distribution system and subsidiary of Cendant Travel Distribution Services, announced the signing of an exclusive agreement to provide SpiceJet’s low fares and inventory on the Galileo GDS platform.

Content for SpiceJet will be distributed via the Galileo Flight Integrator beginning August 2006, a product introduced by Galileo exclusively for low cost airlines giving them accessibility to an extensive network of travel agents from across India and the world. Galileo Flight Integrator creates opportunity for increased revenue and enhances productivity for travel agents, as it provides Galileo-connected agents with access to SpiceJet’s full range of fares including periodic promotional fares. In addition, the seamless web based service also empowers agents to conveniently access over 49 daily flights on SpiceJet, allowing more choice and flexibility to book low fares thus rendering the Galileo Flight Integrator an attractive tool for travel agents.

Spicejet is currently offering over 280,000 seats a month on its present network and with the planned capacity increase towards the end of 2006, capacity will almost double to 500,000 seats per month. With this tie up SpiceJet expects to have a significant contribution to its sales volumes through the network of Galileo connected agents.

Mr. Siddhanta Sharma, CEO, SpiceJet said, “We are pleased to join hands with Galileo to further strengthen our distribution channels worldwide and extend our everyday low fares to other markets through Galileo Flight Integrator. This strategic move allows us to be more accessible to over 50,000 travel agents throughout the world. Spicejet will continue to focus in developing cost effective distribution channels and optimize its seat utilization. This association will provide SpiceJet with an opportunity for extended distribution for the discerning international traveler.

Speaking on the development, Mr. Bruce Hanna, Chief Operating Officer, Galileo India said, “SpiceJet is widely acknowledged as the most promising airline amongst Indian low cost carriers and its decision to make its inventory available to travel agents via Galileo is testament to the value that we provide to airlines and travel agents alike.”

The collaboration, a first for both companies, will introduce SpiceJet for the first time to other markets via this major and well-established distribution channel and will also benefit Galileo subscribers in over 7000 agency locations in India.

Mr Pramod Pal Singh, Director Business Development Airline Services, Cendant TDS commented that “We are particularly excited about this unique relationship with SpiceJet, which underscores our drive to deliver breakthrough partnerships and diverse product offerings matched by no one in the travel and tourism industry.”

Galileo agents connected to Galileo Flight Integrator will be able to increase sales and grow revenue by offering SpiceJet low fares extensively throughout the airline’s growing route network to over 12 destinations across India (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jammu, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, and Srinagar).

SpiceJet joins over 33 other Low Cost Carriers around the world that are using the Galileo GDS as a distribution channel.
