SpiceJet starts operations to Kolkata
Also introduces direct flight between Delhi – Bombay effective November 14, 2005
New Delhi, October 20, 2005: SpiceJet, India’s favourite low cost airlines today announced the launch of its daily direct flights between Delhi and Kolkata. Flights will commence from November 6, 2005 on SpiceJet’s new Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
SpiceJet has introduced a Red Hot Special launch fare of Rs. 999, available until November 30, 2005 as well as a Red Hot Special fare of Rs. 1899, available for travel until January 31, 2006 and available for sale until 11 Nov, 2005, subject to seat availability (Prices are exclusive of fuel surcharge). All fares including the regular fare of Rs. 2499 shall be available for booking on the reservation system with effect from October 20, 2005 post 9:00 p.m.
The flight departure from Delhi will be at 1540 hrs arriving at Kolkata at 1740 hours and the departure from Kolkata at 1820 hours, arriving in Delhi at 2035 hours.
Additionally with effect from November 14, 2005 SpiceJet will introduce daily non stop (direct) flight between Delhi – Mumbai – Delhi in addition to the existing flights on this sector via Ahmedabad. The new flight will depart Delhi at 0615 hours and arrive in Mumbai at 0810 hours. Same day return service will depart Mumbai at 2110 hours and arrive in Delhi 2310 hours. SpiceJet’s unrestricted regular everyday fares will start at an attractive level of Rs. 2299 on this sector. SpiceJet will shortly announce new flights to other destinations in India. The airline expects to increase its frequency by over 50% adding 2500 new seats per day, during the month of November.
